Do I need an account?
No. SaltCure has no sign-up and no ads. Every calculation and batch is stored on your device and works offline.
Where are my batches stored?
On your device only. Because there is no account, batches do not transfer to another device and are removed if you delete the app. You can export a batch to share it.
How is the cure dose calculated?
SaltCure uses equilibrium-percentage dosing for both dry and wet cures. Salt and cure amounts are checked against USDA/FSIS limits for the chosen curing salt (Cure #1, Cure #2, peklosol, NPS, or your own percentage). If the numbers fall outside the safe band, the app flags it before you weigh anything out.
Which units are supported?
Grams and ounces, °C and °F. Change the meat weight or the unit and every figure follows.
How does the batch log work?
Each batch tracks days, target weight loss band, weigh-ins, photos, and a rating when it is done. Reminders come from the app locally — turn them on or off in settings.
How do I cancel a subscription?
SaltCure has no subscription. Nothing to cancel.
